For the first time, investors can gain exposure to an expertly-curated portfolio of Burgundy wine from as little as ยฃ3,000. You can join the waitlist by clicking the link in the comments.๐ช๐ต๐ ๐๐๐ฟ๐ด๐๐ป๐ฑ๐?ReputationBurgundy is home to some of the most sought after wine in the world. Producers like Domaine de la Romanรฉe-Conti (DRC) and Domaine Leroy (pronounced โlewahโ for those that are unsure) are synonymous with luxury and quality.9 of the top 10 most expensive wines in the world (by average case price) are from Burgundy, highlighting the extreme prices that buyers are willing to pay to secure these top wines.ScarcityThe elite producers in Burgundy produce at lower levels than their Bordeaux, or Champenois counterparts. DRC release fewer than 500 cases a year of their flagship wine - โRomanee Contiโ. To put this into perspective, Chateau Lafite Rothschild produces between 15,000 and 20,000 depending on the vintage. This limited production exacerbates the market dynamics present across wine investment markets. When the already low supply starts to contract as the wines are consumed, upwards pressure is put on price.PerformanceOur analysis of Burgundy shows strong returns. The average annual returns for vintages between 2013 and 2022 over the last 10 years is 18.6%.๐๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐น ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฅ๐ถ๐๐ธ.

You know Argentinian Malbec, but what of Argentinian Sangiovese? The grape has a long history in the country, but as Malbec soared in popularity, Sangiovese seemed to fall off the countryโs vinous map. BIRA Wines wanted to honour their Italian heritage and create Sangiovese the Argentinian way, in the picturesque vineyards of The Uco Valley. We recently caught up with Santiago Bernasconi, co-founder of BIRA Wines, in the latest instalment of our Discover series, to uncover the hidden gems of The Uco Valley and talk all things Sangiovese. The Wine Market in Luxembourg: Luxembourg is a small monarchy of a few square kilometers but has one of the highest rates of per capita wine consumption. The Duchy also has a 2,000-year history of winemaking, but have you ever heard of Luxembourg as a wine producer? The answer for most of us is simply, โno.โ Domestic wine production is, however, coveted by Luxembourgers. The producing area extends along the Moselle valley, and precisely because of its location, the local vineyards are filled with traditional grape varieties usually associated with Germany and France. Mรผller-Thurgau (usually called "Rivaner" there) and Auxerrois Blanc occupy almost 50% of the total surface. Pinot Noir also exists, showing that excellent red wine production has found a place in the country's cooler hills.USA Ratings

The price of vineyard land in Etna has shot up compared to the rest of Sicily due to the global popularity of the wines, according to a leading producer in the region. Vineyard land prices have become so high in Etna now compared to the rest of Sicily. One hectare of land in Sicily costs around โฌ20,000 to โฌ25,000 on average, while 1ha on Etna costs between โฌ150,000 and โฌ250,000 โ so ten times more.
