When the sun is shining like it has been recently, one of the main things you're going to want to do is make sure your garden is in great condition. Whether that's giving it a nice revamp or planting new crops, most gardeners will be outdoors, looking after their precious space. However, as enjoyable as it may be, gardening can also be quite costly. Luckily, there are more than enough tips and tricks to save gardeners time as well as money and this expert has revealed one in particular that every gardener should know about.
Martyn Cox, who has been a professional gardener for 25 years, shared some essential hacks he has discovered over the years that have allowed him to get the "best" out of his garden. When it comes to the advice he shared on gardening website, Richard Jakson Garden, he urged gardens not to get rid of these specific things that otherwise many gardeners would.

"Don't shred or burn prunings from trees and shrubs. Twiggy sticks will come in useful as supports for perennials that tend to flop under the weight of their own flowers in summer.
"Push them into the ground around clumps in early spring and the emerging stems will cling or rest against them as they head upwards," Martyn shared with readers.
As well as preventing any damage from the plants getting weighed down by their own growth, plant supports can improve air circulation, promote healthy growth and even add an element of beauty to your garden.

Following this tip will allow gardens is an easy and cheap way to provide the essential care your plants need to thrive during this important season.
The best time to use plant support is in the early stages of plant growth to avoid damage later down the line. When it comes to perennials, installing supports as soon as new shoots make an appearance is a great way to ensure they grow in the correct direction.
Always make sure to check your supports as your plants grow because they may need some adjustments, such as additional ties, to ensure they are working appropriately.
