That's probably the case. His art truly went down after the First Wall Semi Arc and he always switched assistants left and right.

In my sixth sense, it seems like his art will never get consistent until he finally hires a studio like Redice. Soloing things would require a dedicated artist(s). For something as detailed as ToG, it really needs a good small studio.

Imagine if the fight with Bam and white had some goofyness to it, everyone would hate it cuz it shouldn't be there by how the fight and its participant were framed. Gustang is too serious to start doing this. Or maybe i'm reading too much into it

Totally agree! I think the goofy segment could have been saved if there was a lasting effect like maybe Traum losing his mask for the rest of the fight.

dont think so, we can see endrossi in a panel near the fight, she shouldnt even be there or be able to stay near them, sui suddenly forget about shinsuu density and resistance etc... logically her and even enkidu imo should be dead by now just because of the heat of this battle...

Chapter seems kind of funny, but it makes sense, FHs probably didn't fight seriously for 100s of years, if not 1000s...

So i think that Gustang and Traumerei kind of go crazy in the match, imagine Traumerei dude, he literally spent 1000s of years breeding his creatures to do nothing, now he wants to throw them all out and make fun of it as well, as well as gustang, dude probably used nothing, but fire attacks for eons

10 HF from the past are strong ,honor ,respectable ,smart ,mysterious but today 10HF are Joker idk why SIU ruin this story in hell train we got hint that 10FH and Jahad used that technique long time ago so whats they power now? Im surprise when jahad data and bam fight each other they power really various of type but very impact (tools,technique,shinwonyuu boost body) but today even HR got no skills just like regular from 20 floor you can remember right? When first karaka appear and yuri fight each other or when urek use his power in Death floor also joke yama (before his neft) and HR from Kallavan group theyre really unique in term of technique power and character its really funny when i saw HR cant even catch regular (remember when AA try to trick Ha jingsun and escape to train but Ha jingsun use a little of his power and he can caught AA thats the different between Ranker and Regular but now SIU destroy this balance ) bamm different from regular so there is no way his friend can follow up him and SIU try to keep Rak AA Androsii with bamm but why they dont just let bamm and the other be ranker first? Let see what happened now 1. AA can seal dumas 2. Rak can kill HR from BH so what going to happen next? And i really dont like this art and story telling (story telling today "ah ,ugh, damn , he going to .... me , blah blah ,where's poker face? Where's hint ? This sesson deserve lower than 1 star

Still trying to figure out how Gustang is going to kill him, they don’t appear serious at all. Like stop effing around and fight seriously.

I would love a Goku v. Frieza level of seriousness at some point. It feels very light right now.

I think many of the critics underestimate the psychological factor of this fight, like a lot. Besides probleably being best friends - and living gods - both know each other's strengths and weaknesses too.

So i guess they also know that just throwing EPIC LOOKING sh*t against each other won't solve their problem. Psychological warfare on the other end can create openings for real damage. Like with these riddles and mazes. Traumerei is like the hyper hyper ultra passive overthinking cool guy nowadays - which is a big plus. If he gets emotional again, like he seemingly was in the past, this would be a whole different ballgame.

I think the Shinheuh should last longer and have a bit more impact rather than gustang instantly negging them everytime. It feels a bit repetitive that they get instantly destroyed everytime. Gustang should struggle a bit or at least they should be an obstacle where gustang finds unique ways to defeat them.

While it does highlights gustang's superiority , it also makes the fight monotone. Lets see where it goes from here.

2 FHs fighting will likely follow the classic nareative structure of an intro, rising tension, climax and falling action.

I think we're currently in the early/mid-rising tension phase.

Everything else has been an intro to establish the characters, past history and current motivators.

I think we need all the small fry to gtfo this fight so that the 2 gods can start unleashing their power in earnest. The FHs have been hyped so much that this should fight make the other plot points converge or become moot.

Hopefully the climax has a meaningful payoff vis-a-vis lore, character eliminations / intros, and setup for the next part of the arc - which is either the princesses or the red light district princes.

I am not convinced. If the greatest Anima can't be at his best while using them against his only peers then that Position is pretty useless. I am pretty sure we'll see more of it soon.
